FHP Health Center's CT scan unit earns 3-year reaccreditation from American College of Radiology

The FHP Health Center’s CT Scan Unit has successfully earned re-accreditation from the American College of Radiology, extending certification through December 2028.

This prestigious three-year accreditation extension validates the facility’s commitment to providing the highest quality diagnostic imaging services to the Guam community, according to a release from FHP.

The ACR accreditation is a rigorous evaluation process that ensures imaging facilities meet the highest standards for equipment performance, personnel qualifications, and quality assurance protocols.

This certification is particularly significant as it maintains compliance with the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act.

Other ACR accredited modalities at FHP Health Center include:

– MRI accredited until May 2026

– Digital Mammogram accredited until March 2027

“I am incredibly proud of our entire team for achieving this significant milestone. This three-year ACR re-accreditation is a testament to the exceptional dedication, professionalism, and clinical excellence that defines our CT Scan Unit,” said Gerry Patricio, senior business manager, FHP Health Center, in a statement.

He personally thanked Dr. Andrew Graves for his outstanding leadership and supervision throughout this process, and Ken Decipulo, RT, whose proactive approach and unwavering commitment made the achievement possible.

“This accomplishment also reflects the collaborative spirit of our Radiology Team, GIO, Facilities, JMI Edison, Gamma Medical Physics, and our administration team, including Rose Grino and Karen Sanchez. Their collective hard work ensures that our patients continue to receive the highest quality diagnostic imaging services available. This accreditation reinforces our commitment to excellence and our mission to provide superior healthcare to the people of Guam,” said Patricio.
