Zoho’s medtech firm vTitan to accelerate medical device launches in next one year

After spending years in R&D, vTitan, a medtech company from the Zoho Group, is planning become more aggressive in its go-to-market efforts with a line up of medical devices in the next one year.

“In the last five years, we brought about 10 products to the market and we have 10 more products to bring to the market in the next one year or so,” Prasad Maganti, CEO, vTitan said in an interaction with businessline.

vTitan today offers a range of med-tech solutions across infusion, radiology, urology, monitoring, and cardiology, and others, and the new products will deepen their presence in radiology, the CT space, Cath Lab related and others. “While some will serve as alternative to imports, others are very innovative and new,” he said.

The company, which is backed by Zoho, ideates, designs, prototypes and also makes its own medical devices in India which are 85 per cent localised . “I think over the next two to three years even the electronics component manufacturing will come to India and then there we will be able to source out capacitors and chips, everything locally,” Maganti said.

vTitan did not disclose its revenue but said it grew around 120 per cent y-o-y in FY25 and expects roughly 100 per cent growth in current fiscal too. The growth drivers for us has been that there is a huge expansion of the hospital infrastructure in India, and they find us to be affordable and also favour us for our localisation, he said.

With the company accelerating its new product launches, vTitan is also contemplating applying for the PLI scheme for medical devices. “We have not applied till now, but we are considering and will put it up to the board and decide,” Maganti noted.

cardiac monitor

vTitan also announced the launch of vCardio, a single-lead, wearable point-of-care cardiac monitor, a device entirely designed and manufactured in India. The cardiac monitor is designed for remote patient monitoring in homecare, geriatric care, and clinical settings. With Bluetooth connectivity, the device integrates with the vCardio mobile app and software platform.

All parts of the device -from hardware to the cloud-based AI analytics features- are built by us, Maganti said. “We are talking to leading hospitals in Chennai, some PHCs in Thiruvanamalai, and home healthcare providers [for vCardio adoption],” he added.
