Dr. Joseph Herring to provide full-time radiology services at Guam Regional Medical City

Guam Regional Medical City has welcomed Dr. Joseph Herring, a diagnostic radiologist with advanced fellowship training in body imaging, who is now providing full-time radiologic services at the hospital.

Dr. Herring earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Washington School of Medicine and completed postgraduate training in internal medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine. He later completed diagnostic radiology residency training at the University of Texas medical branch and Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons at Harlem Hospital Center.

He also completed a body imaging fellowship at the University of Washington Department of Radiology. Prior to joining GRMC, Dr. Herring supported radiology services through teleradiology positions and participated in research, presentations, and quality improvement initiatives.

Dr. Herring said he is grateful to join GRMC and is looking forward to providing full-time radiology services on Guam, supporting both patients and providers with timely and accurate imaging.

GRMC leadership shared that having a diagnostic radiologist on-island and on-site full time strengthens the hospitalโ€™s ability to provide comprehensive care and improves access to diagnostic services for the community.

With Dr. Herring now on staff, Guam Regional Medical City continues to advance its mission of delivering coordinated, patient-centered care and high-quality diagnostic support close to home.
