
New Delhi: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has released the schedule for the Open Round of institute allocation for admission to DM and MCh super-speciality courses under the INI SS January 2026 session.According to the official notice issued by the AIIMS in this regard, the online exercising of choices for participation in the Open Round will be conducted from February 5 to February 12, 2026, up to 5:00 PM. The result of the institute allotment against applied subjects will be declared on February 21, 2026 (Saturday). Candidate will have to deposit an amount of 3.0 Lakh in the account of Examination Section, AIIMS New Delhi through RTGS, NEFT or any other electronic Mode of payment. The candidate must submit/attach the payment details as well as cancel cheque in the online portal (My Page).However, no candidate will be considered for the Open round counselling without prior willingness/registration, deposit of 03.00 Lakh & uploading of such payment receipts. This is the last round of Seat allocation, and no further rounds of seat allocation will be conducted.ELIGIBILITY1 Candidates who have appeared in INI-SS for the January 2026 session held on Saturday, the 22nd of November, 2025 and obtained the following will be deemed to be provisionally eligible (subject to other criteria) to participate in the Open Round of Institute Allocation-a All participating candidates having obtained 50% OR above marks are eligible forthe Open round of Institute allocationb Allocation of the Institute will be done according to their merit in AML & CML.c Candidates who applied for General seat will be eligible only for General seats and those who applied for sponsored seats will be eligible only for sponsored seats. According to the notice issued by the AIIMS in this regard, the vacant seat matrix has been prepared following the completion of the second round of online seat allocation and based on inputs received from participating Institutes of National Importance (INIs), along with previously issued notices and addendums. The subject-wise, institute-wise, and category-wise vacant seats for the Open Round have been provided, which spans multiple pages and covers a wide range of DM and MCh specialities.As per the vacant seat matrix, a total of 208 seats are vacant in DM courses. Of these, a total of 47 seats are vacant for general and a total of 161 seats are vacant for sponsored. While, a total of 98 seats are vacant in MCh courses. Of these, a total of 24 seats are vacant for general and a total of 74 seats are vacant for sponsored.
