Permira agrees to sell I-MED to London-listed conglomerate for $3.4b

What had been mooted as one of the biggest floats of the year is off, with London buyout firm Permira agreeing to sell medical imaging giant I-MED to Jardine Matheson for $3.4 billion.

The deal, which gives Jardine Matheson 100 per cent ownership of the largest radiology business in the Asia Pacific region, was signed over the weekend, sources told Street Talk on the condition of anonymity. It is expected to be announced on Monday afternoon.
