Jardine Matheson Holdings buys Australian radiology giant I-MED for $3.4 billion

Conglomerate Jardine Matheson Holdings will attempt to expand Australian radiology giant I-MED’s operations into new markets, including Asia, after it bought the company for $3.4 billion in a deal that kills plans to float the company.

Hong Kong-based Jardine said British private equity firm Permira agreed to sell the company on Monday, confirming a report in The Australian Financial Review’s Street Talk column.
