
Introduction
The Atomic Energy Cancer Hospital – Centre for Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy (AECH-CENAR) was established in 1987 and inaugurated by Muhammad Khan Junejo (Late), former Prime Minister of Pakistan. It remains the only specialized cancer diagnostic and treatment centre in Balochistan, serving not only the population of the province but also patients from Afghanistan and Iran.
AECH-CENAR provides accessible cancer care to needy and underprivileged communities, significantly reducing the treatment gap in this underserved region.
Vision and Mission of AECH-CENAR
· To be a leading international organization in Radiation Therapy, Medical Oncology, and Molecular Imaging, promoting the highest standards of patient care and professional practice.
· Provide a platform for improving patient services through research and academics for graduate and post graduate students in the field of medicine and related disciplines.
· Improve the standards of delivery and practice of Radiation Therapy, Medical Oncology, and Molecular Imaging throughout the world by acting as the international liaison organization for medical radiation technology and by promoting Quality Patient care, Education and Research in the Molecular Imaging and Radiation therapy sciences.
· Provision of accessible, cost-effective, evidence based and efficient care that meets or exceeds the expectations of our clients.
· Providing an enabling and collaborative work environment that motivates, energizes and recognizes the contributions of individuals and teams.
