HH Heads to Western Province for Two-Day Visit

President Hakainde Hichilema is expected in Western Province for a two-day working visit .
The visit scheduled from May 5th to 6th, 2026 is aimed at appreciating developmental progress and enhancing service delivery across key sectors in the province.
Western Province Minister Kapelwa Mbangweta says the President is expected to commission several key projects, including the Mongu-Limulunga Road, Kalangu Mini Hospital, and the Provincial Veterinary Laboratory in Mongu District.
Speaking to ZNBC News in Mongu, Mr. Mbangweta disclosed that in Kalabo District, the Head of State will also commission the Luanginga and Silanda bridges, as well as maternity and children’s wards and a radiology unit at Yuka Hospital.
Mr. Mbangweta further revealed that President Hichilema will proceed to Sioma District to commission the Malumbe Irrigation Centre Pivot.
The President is also scheduled to address public rallies in Mongu, Kalabo, and Sioma, and will engage with local leadership.
Residents have since been encouraged to turn out in large numbers to welcome the President.
