Leventer Medical Group announces the official opening of the private Băneasa Tumor Center Hospital, a project dedicated to the integrated treatment of tumor pathologies, aiming to contribute to the development of good practices within the Romanian medical system.
With an investment of over 30 million euros, and construction process carried out over more than four years, the hospital, located in the myhive Victoria Park building in the northern part of Bucharest, near the future Tokyo metro station, officially begins its activity.
Băneasa Tumor Center Hospital brings together a team of over 80 highly experienced physicians and an infrastructure built for performance, organized into seven dedicated centers of competence: certainty-based diagnosis, dermatology, digestive, hepatobiliary and pancreatic, urology, endocrinology, gynecology and breast health, plastic and reconstructive surgery.
The hospital spans an area of approximately 10,000 square meters, and the plans include an expansion of more than 12,000 square meters in a later development stage. It is designed as a complete medical infrastructure that integrates all stages of the caring process, from precision diagnosis to treatment and recovery.
The facility includes a digitalized operating block with six ultra-modern operating rooms, 76 beds for inpatient and day hospitalization, including 15 beds dedicated to the Intensive Care Unit and 15 beds for day hospitalization (including the Medical Oncology Department), an integrated outpatient clinic comprising 18 consultation rooms covering more than 20 medical specialties, a treatment room dedicated to Mohs Micrographic Surgery, as well as a gastroenterology laboratory, a pathology laboratory, and a medical imaging department.
Surgical activity covers the following specialties: General Surgery, Oncologic Surgery, Urologic Surgery, Gynecologic Surgery, Breast Surgery, Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, Reconstructive Microsurgery, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, with additional specialties to be added as the hospital develops. Procedures are performed in a new-generation operating block configured for classical, laparoscopic, and robotic interventions.
Diagnostic support is provided by three specialized laboratories under the certainty-based diagnosis center: the pathology laboratory, the digestive endoscopy laboratory – diagnostic and therapeutic – and the radiology and medical imaging laboratory, all equipped with state-of-the-art technology and aligned with modern diagnostic methods in accordance with international standards. Together, these structures define an integrated medical pathway designed to offer patients diagnostic precision, safety, and clinical efficiency.
“Medical competence and experience in the patient-centered working model, consolidated within the Dr. Leventer clinics, naturally continue in the Băneasa Tumor Center Hospital project. We apply the same validated medical model, now adapted to a range of complex pathologies. What we built as a model of good practice in dermatology is now becoming an approach extended to specialties such as gastroenterology, urology, endocrinology, gynecology, and breast health, forming the nucleus of competence in the treatment of tumors of the skin and organs.
We rely on the efficiency of teamwork and invest constantly in people. That is why we chose to build alongside physicians whose human and professional vision aligns with the brand’s principles. We have thus attracted medical professionals with solid experience in complementary fields, forming a remarkable multidisciplinary team. In this way, we ensure that the high standard of investigation and definitive diagnosis remains a constant.,” states Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mihaela Leventer, founder and shareholder of Băneasa Tumor Center Hospital and Leventer Medical Group.
“The presence of Băneasa Tumor Center Hospital in myhive Victoria Park honors us, especially as this is a hospital at the forefront of medicine, integrated into an emblematic building for the local market, part of the CPI Romania portfolio. The investment proposed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mihaela Leventer and Claudiu Opran also reflect CPI Romania’s strategic focus on a niche segment experiencing accelerated growth: the adaptation of modern office buildings to host private healthcare infrastructure. We provided Leventer Medical Group with a flexible infrastructure that allowed the organization of hospital flows and facilities in line with the highest medical standards. Thus, we have demonstrated our commitment to creating adaptable spaces designed to meet the needs and requirements of our partners.,” highlights Fulga Dinu, Country Manager, CPI Romania.
“The investment in Băneasa Tumor Center Hospital represents not only a significant financial effort, but also the result of a carefully built business logic in which the core of every decision is the real need of the patient. At the foundation of what is happening today lies an extensive process of assembling a team of professionals who share the same vision and quality standards.
We thank all our partners – the building owners, investors, banks, suppliers, the team of architects, authorities – for their support throughout the development of this project and for their openness toward an initiative that builds, step by step, a solid direction for the future of healthcare. Băneasa Tumor Center Hospital represents a long-term commitment that obliges us to remain consistent in the effort to create and maintain a patient-centered medical model – perhaps the greatest responsibility.,” states Claudiu Opran, founder and shareholder of Băneasa Tumor Center Hospital and Leventer Medical Group.
