
Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER) launched GE Revolution Apex Elite 512-slice Spectral CT scanner, designed to deliver high-resolution images at lower radiation doses, in the city on Thursday.
The new CT scanner was inaugurated by T.S. Swaminathan, former Director, Barnard Institute of Radiology, Madras Medical College, in the presence of the SRIHER Chancellor V.R. Venkataachalam. It would help enhance the diagnostic efficiency, while maintaining a focus on patient safety.
The CT scan would elevate doctorsโ diagnostic prowess and help in early clinical decision making, said a press release. Samyuktha Venkataachalam, Trustee, Sri Ramachandra Educational and Health Trust; Uma Sekar, vice-chancellor, SRIHER; and several other faculty members and staff participated.
